Wolf Photography Tours
The Mission Wolf Sanctuary is set up so many folks can visit, learn and take photos of the wolves in hopes it helps assure their future. We are first and foremost a sanctuary. All you need to do is make your way down here and one of our staff will offer you a tour of the refuge. Afterwards you are welcome to walk along the paths and take photos as you wish as long as you do not disturb the wolves.. We have a few areas you can shoot over the fence and capture the wolves in a natural setting (assuming they cooperate and are not sleeping). We request that any images published or sold commercially provide credit the refuge(Mission:Wolf) and wolves name
We do not charge money but donations are appropriate and appreciated. If you get one of those million dollar shots that is publishable we simply ask in good faith that you share your fortune with them. We also have a membership program that helps us feed the wolves. Members in return get and 8x10 color photo of their chosen wolf. Many photographers donate images or 8x10 prints to keep the program rolling. Early morning shots will be backlit and most photographers prefer sunset shots with the sun lighting up the wolves eyes. We suggest camping out if you are real serious about it.
