Our Mission
"Education vs Extinction" Mission:Wolf is a solar-powered nature center that demonstrates sustainable living. The 200 acre center provides a sanctuary for up to 40 wolves, an unwanted horse shelter, a land conservation program and a solar powered village that is operated by dedicated volunteers and interns that live on site. The operation and growth of our nature center provides hands-on educational experiences for volunteers, visitors and interns worldwide. Our Nature Center provides educational resources for field trips and school groups. Our National outreach program features ambassador wolves and offers public education that inspires people to care about and respect nature. Our Mission is to inspire and educate humans to better utilize and conserve natural resources and to appreciate and support wild habitat sustainability.

Mission: Wolf in the Press
Since 1988, Mission:Wolf continues to operate a nationwide education program. Over the years the Ambassador Wolf Program has been featured in hundreds of newspaper, magazine and television stories. Mission:Wolf allows photographers, journalists, artists and wildlife admirers opportunity to meet and observe the refuge wolves. Mission:Wolf works to turn good science into common knowledge and demonstrates what sustainability is by example. If you are interested in writing an article about M:W either on the road with the wolf bus or at the sanctuary please send us an e-mail. Remember Mission Wolf is first and foremost a sanctuary for wolves. People are welcome all year and allowed to record and observe as long as they do not disturb the wolves. Our Staff and Board of Directors
Our staff is comprised of dedicated volunteers from around the world. Staff are both students and teachers as they learn to run the refuge and teach new volunteer staff the same. All staff are expected to greet visitors and provide a personal tour of the wolves. We are a facility dedicated to helping teach and educate people about wolves, the environment, sustainability, community living, self-awareness and self-reliance. M:W operates with 5 Board of Directors that oversee the executive director and president who live on site and are responsible to oversee the refuge operations.
